This is a collaborative event with Oxford Net Zero, AEON Collective and Clean Air Task Force. We invite three stakeholders to talk about ‘what’ and ‘how’ they consider the “abatement” of fossil fuels. To limit warming to 1.5°C, we need to reach net zero CO2 emissions before 2050. But what does net zero actually mean? Can we ‘abate’ fossil fuels to deliver on Paris goals? This event highlights research on the science of a durable net zero, with business, developing country and NGO perspectives.
